This 4-mile out-and-back trail rewards hikers with panoramic views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, the ever-charming San Francisco skyline, and the untamed beauty of our rugged coastline. Witnessing this spectacle of nature never fails to ignite a sense of pride for our extraordinary Marin.
Muir Woods National Monument - Dipsea and Steep Ravine Loop:
As a native surrounded by towering redwood forests, the Dipsea and Steep Ravine Loop in Muir Woods National Monument is like a nostalgic embrace. It's a pilgrimage to the heart and soul of Marin County.

Join me on a coastal adventure along the Tennessee Valley Trail to Muir Beach Overlook. This 4.4-mile out-and back. Walk or stroll then well maintained fire road to the picturesque beach that opens up to the Pacific. We like to hike up to the bunkers for a picnic lunch with a view.
Mount Burdell Open Space Preserve - San Andreas Fire Road Loop:
Escape the hustle and bustle and find solace in the serene landscapes of Mount Burdell Open Space Preserve. The San Andreas Fire Road Loop, a 6.7-mile journey through rolling grasslands and oak woodlands, offers me a sense of tranquility that is uniquely Marin. The sweeping views of our cherished county remind me of the countless memories etched in these hills. Our family dogs know these trails by heart.
Cataract Falls Trail - Mount Tamalpias Watershed:
Join me on a journey through Mount Tamalpais State Park on the iconic Cataract Falls with a Butt busting Hike up to see 3+ water falls. As a local favorite, 2.8-mile out-and-back trail never fails to captivate with its dense forests and glistening waterfalls. Every step will remind you of the extraordinary beauty that surrounds us. Lots of steps so make sure to bring your hiking poles.
