Essential Packing Guide for Your European Adventure: Everything in a Carry-On Suitcase

Travel Essentials and Packing Accessories: To ensure a smooth journey, don't forget to include the following travel essentials.

  • Keep your passport, identification, and travel documents in a secure and easily accessible place. I love this affordable Passport Organizer that lets you keep it all together.  I like to keep my Covid Vaccination and Travel Immunization records in here. I sneak in my travel insurance info and any baggage tags in here when necessary.

  • Keep your valuables, including cash, cards, and important documents, secure with a travel wallet or money belt.

  • Invest in hanging toiletry bag. This has changed my life. It makes it so easy to find everything. You just hang it on the back of the door when you get to your hotel, it keeps the counter nice and clean and you don’t have to dig around the bottom of an endless makeup bag. Everything is nice an organized.

  • These Travel Bottles are an essential if you are particular about your shampoo and conditioner products. They are the perfect size to get your through the TSA checks.

  • Packing Cubes or Compression bags: I am more of a cube organizer, but my sister swears by the compression bags when she wants to pack as much as she can into a single carry on roller.

  • Medications: If you take any prescription medications, pack an adequate supply along with necessary documentation. I always keep my medications on me when I travel, never put them in a checked bag.

  • Travel-Sized Toiletries: Opt for travel-sized toiletries to save space and adhere to TSA regulations. Don't forget essentials like toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and sunscreen. This is my favorite sunscreen. I also like the tinted version which also double as a moisturizing foundation.

Entertainment and Safety: To make your journey enjoyable and safe, consider the following items:

  • Pack an e-reader. My husband and I both love our Kindles. We bought them as gifts for our honeymoon and now take them on every trip. Here is their new release version with double the storage.

  • Portable Charger: Keep your devices charged with a portable charger, ensuring you never miss a photo opportunity or get lost without google Maps.

  • These Apple Air Pro Noise canceling Headphones are my new favorite travel essential. My husband swears by the Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones. If you re flying and want to watch the movies on the plan the AirFly Pro is a must. This little baby lets you use your own wireless headphones while enjoying the free movies on your flight. Game changer, no more cords getting wrapped everywhere.

  • Don’t forget a Travel Adapter. European outlets have different voltage and plug types, so a universal travel adapter will keep your devices charged.

  • Luggage tag or Tile: I’ve been throwing a tile in my luggage for years now, thankfully iv’e never had to use it, but it give me peace of mind that I will always know where my luggage is. I recently upgraded to the Apple Air Tags.

  • Don’t forget a sturdy 4 Roller Suitcase. I’m currently using this suitcase, I find it nicely durable and easy to keep my stuff organized. And it’s a much better price point than those brand names suitcases.

Comfort: Don’t forget to take care or yourself while you travel.

  • Check out this travel pillow that doesn’t suck.

  • Ive been loving this Travel Blanket that is perfect for those cold flights, it also doubles as a Beach/Pool Towel. This is now an essential for me, I bring this on every trip. It looks great as a pool skirt if you tie it around your waste.

  • Here are my favorite compression socks that I wear every time I fly. I also recently tried these ankle compression socks and I think they work great. I hate when my feet get swollen and uncomfortable on long trips.

Versatile Clothing: When it comes to clothing, versatility is key. Opt for items that can be mixed and matched to create different outfits. Consider packing a capsule like wardrobe were items can be interchangeable. Stick with 2-3 colors that coordinate with each other and pick 2 pairs of shoes that go with all your choices. When traveling for an extended length I still recommend packing for only 7- 10 days, there is generally an opportunity to wash clothes at least once during the tip. Ive made a rule for myself that I have to take out 2 items before I officially zip up my suitcase. If you end up needing something during your travels, its an opportunity to go shopping!

By following this essential packing guide, you can fit everything you need for your European adventure into a convenient rolling carry-on suitcase. Remember to pack versatile clothing, comfortable footwear, essential travel items, and practical accessories to maximize space and organization. With a well-prepared suitcase, you'll be ready to embark on your European journey stress-free, making memories that will last a lifetime. Bon voyage!
